Discussion Forum Components

Briefing Materials:
Clean Fuels Ohio will distribute “issue briefs” providing background information and context on Ohio’s existing transportation landscape, available investment opportunities, and future policy options. These briefs will be available prior to all events to ensure that each forum participant has access to basic, reliable information on the topics that will be discussed.
Expert Panelists
Each forum will begin with a panel of experts working in fields directly related to Ohio’s transportation future. Each panelist will provide a brief overview of their area of expertise as well as recommendations for the future of Ohio’s transportation sector.
Facilitated Discussions
The core of each forum will consist of a facilitated discussion with assembled stakeholders and experts. Each discussion will be guided by a facilitator to ensure constructive dialogue and robust audience participation. Public feedback from forum discussions will be used by Clean Fuels Ohio to refine transportation policy recommendations currently under development.
Opportunities for Continued Engagement
All forum participants are encouraged to create a profile and join www.DrivingOhioForward.org. This free social networking site is designed to serve as a clearinghouse for information on transportation energy, technology and policy. As a social networking site, www.DrivingOhioForward.org provides users the ability to upload content and communicate with each other, as well as stay informed on all of Clean Fuels Ohio's policy efforts.

Leadership Summit

The near-term culmination of these forums will be a day long leadership summit held in Columbus Ohio on November 18, 2009 at the Riffe Center. At this summit, information from the six discussion forums will be presented to key leaders and decision makers from across the state.
